(TLA) FOR ARMY PERSONNEL IN HAWAII
Who Is Eligible
Single E6 and above.
SM with command sponsored dependents
*You’re not required to stay in Army installation lodging. Choose/Switch to TLA authorized hotels in Honolulu by simply obtaining a Statement of Non-availability from on-post lodging. *
Required Documents
- PCS Orders and ALL Amendments
- DA Form 31 (signed in off leave form with control number)
- Flight Itinerary or Boarding Passes (all family member)
Extras : - DD 1299 (Household Goods Packing and Pick-up)
- On-Post Housing Offer Letter / Lease
- Off-Post Housing Lease / Purchase Agreement and any Counter Offers
- Email from transportation with household goods delivery date to your new house
How to Renew
Attend the 1100 – Group Brief for Renewal TLA on day 10 with:
- Housing Search Sheet
- On-Post Housing Letter and On-Post Lease
- Signed Off-Post Lease
- Purchase contract signed by the seller (Closing Documents)
- Household Goods E-mail with the scheduled delivery date”

Rules
- TLA is limited up to 20 days upon arrival. Housing must be secured during the initial 30 days TLA period.
- If SM secures housing within 20 days, up to 60 days may be authorized depending on the move
in date. - TLA DOES NOT REIMBURSE for late checkouts; resort charges & taxes; parking; tips; room
service, etc.
